BG Collection
Well this is where I have stepped out of my comfort zone. After 17 years of designing and building one-of-a-kind pieces, I decided to design a collection which incorporates elements that I have been using in my one-of-a-kinds. Wow that's a month full. I chose to use oxidized silver with 18K bi-metal accents and 18K gold finding (bezel settings and jump rings); which beautifully contrast with the dark oxidized silver, hence the title for the collection of BG (black and gold). My gemstone of choice was a black spinel. A rusty knife edge hammer which I have removed the rust from, gave me a texture which was dramatic but very subtle at the same time. I have recently added an oxidized version with the white sapphire and a polished version with black spinel. Along the way I have also created a triple stack using white fresh water pearls.
